I find this absolutely hilarious. Yeah, I’m a nerd.
The caveat is, however, the zeroes of the mental and physical attractiveness axes vary significantly with geographic location– and if you don’t take this into account, you may be very, very surprised.
Case in point: LA vs SF. Pretend we’re not dredging up all those Norcal vs Socal arguments for the umpteenth time… but a guy who can attract, say, a woman who’s an 8 on the SF physical attractiveness (PA) scale will likely drop down to a 4-6 on the LA PA scale. However, someone who’s a 5 on the SF MA scale may rate a 9 on the LA scale… so act accordingly! Gotta love the rules of supply and demand applied to something other than “widgets”.
Next time I’ll tell you the story of when I went to a pub with a bunch of friends (engineers, yes) and they started diagramming the f***ability equation on the blackboards behind us. That may or may not have had anything to do with the massive jello shots… and other shots we were doing.
