"Money is only as good as what you spend it on"
I think this statement will strike a chord with many people. Unfortunately, many people forget this.
Terrific freaking post!

I feel the exact same way about money. I don't think I'll ever be "comfortable" with my life if I can't support myself first. I am already a saver. Although I am still in college, I have already set money aside for my first house. I have a mental map of my life planned out so I can be sure that I live the most comfortable, secure life that I possibly can. (I'd share but I don't want to bore you). I am certain that I will be able to purchase a house by age 25 bearing that there are no major life-changing events.

I'm not sure how I would handle dating or marrying someone who couldn't pull their own weight financially speaking, but I've never really thought about it before. I am an artistic person so I might be able to understand someone who was passionate about music and wanted to use their talent as a means of obtaining income, but still I don't think one should depend on artistic abilities alone.

That being said, I'd like to share one of my favorite money quotes:

“Money is not the most important thing in the world. Love is. Fortunately, I love money.”

"Money is only as good as what you spend it on..."

"Rich isn’t a number, it’s a state of mind. I’m quite happy with my current situation, but as my environment changes, I must continue to adjust in order to maintain that level of contentment and security. Maybe you can’t buy happiness, but you can definitely earn it."

Brilliant! Apparently "rich" means the same thing to me as it does to you, only you've expressed it far more eloquently than I ever could.
